The Air District provides
a wide range of benefits to its employees via a cafeteria-style plan.
Employees receive a benefit "allowance" to pay for various types of insurance,
including health, dental and vision. The amount of the allowance varies
for different groups of employees.
The
Air District contracts with the California Public Employees Retirement
System (CalPERS) for retirement benefits under the miscellaneous "2% @
55" plan. The Air District currently pays both the employer and employee
contribution for retirement.
Other
benefits for Air District employees include a transit subsidy, education
reimbursement, vacation and sick leave, and holidays.
Below
is a table with downloadable documents outlining the benefits provided
for each employee group, as well as some of the forms used to sign up
for benefits.
