Major Facility: A facility with the potential to emit pollutants equal to or greater than one or more major source thresholds as follow: |
|
- 100 tons per year of a criteria air pollutant (NOx, SO2, Pb, VOC, CO or PM10);
- 10 tons per year of a Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP). (The initial list of HAPs is in CAA section 112(b), EPA has the authority to revise the list and should be consulted for the current list.); or
- 25 tons per year of any combination of HAPs.

Phase II Acid Rain Facility: An electric generation facility that combusts fossil fuel and is subject to Title IV of the federal Clean Air Act. |

Subject Solid Waste Incinerator Facility: Any facility that burns solid waste material (except hazardous waste as defined by RCRA) from commercial, industrial, or general public sources for which EPA has promulgated a Standard of Performance for New Stationary Source (NSPS) after November 15, 1990. |

Designated Facility: Any other facility that falls within a source category EPA has designated as subject to the requirements of Title V. |
